Get tips for creating resumes so that our resume parser can easily read your resumes.
Also, please keep in mind the following points that can be a disadvantage for your resumes to be perfectly parsed by RChilli Resume Parser.
- Make sure your resumes do not have jumbled data, data removed/added from the third party during conversion.
- A-line break or spacing in the resume/CV content can be an issue of concern.
- Column layout of text in a random format is not advisable.
- There are more chances of errors in PDF Conversions (Resume/CV not written in the appropriate format).
- Text Conversions (Resume/CV not written in the appropriate format) is also not a good idea.
- Data mentioned in a Tabular Format (not an appropriate format) should be avoided as after conversion, tabular data gets jumbled.
- Any other improper format that RChilli does not support.
- Avoid image/scanned resume/CV.
- Please ensure your resume/CV is not a password-protected file.
- For Case Sensitivity: There are a few resume/CV files where the Name of the candidate, Employer, etc., starts with some small alphabets. It should begin with a capital letter.
- For Naming Convention: Please avoid special characters such as ~! @ # $ % ^ & * () `; < >? [ ] { } ' " and | etc.
- Try not to make file names too long, as lengthy file names do not work well. Also, do not use spaces in file names.
- Missing Section Heading: If the heading for any section is missing, our parser will not parse that section e.g Experience heading, Education heading, etc. Heading for every section should be separately mentioned with breaks/space. It should not be in continuation with the previous section. ( Note: In case of missing the education block is not mentioned, then the parser will extract the education block from any portion of the resume where some qualification-related keyword is mentioned.)
- Missing Date and Period (Experience): If there is no specific job period or date range mentioned for any of the CV, we will pick the experience from any area of the resume file.
- Invalid Data: For instance, for USA CVs, 9 digit phone no. is considered as invalid, or date format is not correct, etc.
- Employer Getting Swapped: If a job period for an Employer is not mentioned along with the Employer’s details, but is mentioned along with the next Employer details without any space/gap, the job period will be picked up with the next Employer rather than the first Employer. In this way, the Employer will be overlapped or swapped.
- Please ensure that the name should not contain half text and half scanned/image. If it is mentioned, our parser will only pick up the text.
