How confidence score being calculated:-
A Confidence score is calculated based on the algorithms used to extract information. It means how accurately our parser identifies the entities such as employer name, profiles, university, degree, contact info, etc. We give scores to each entity according to our algorithms.
The range for this:-
This score indicates the confidence that the output is the right match for the written values. A confidence score is a number range between 0 and 10. A score of 10 is more accurate as the parser extracts the entity from the resume, while a score of 0 means that no matching values are found. The higher the score, the greater the confidence.
The normalization does help in improving the confidence score. It is the condition that satisfies our protocols resulting in a high confidence score.
For Job Title, it's under JobProfile>FormattedName
job profile
- Title
- FormattedName
- Alias
We don't provide company name normalization. It is the same as written in the resume. For instance, if the candidate writes TCS as company name, the parser will return TCS, not the complete Tata Consultancy Services.
For Education, we don't have normalized data for Universities. However, we do have it for Degree names.
It is under Degree> NormalizeDegree
Degree
- DegreeName
- NormalizeDegree
- Specialization
- ConfidenceScore
For confidence score, usually, 6 is the recommended lowest setting. If you get anything lower than 6, you can share with us @support to analyze.
Another Note: To boost the confidence score, the resume content should meet with RChilli API limitations somewhere. Check out this article to know about RChilli API limitations.
