To ensure accurate name extraction, we strongly recommend our customers follow the proper formatting guidelines. If you're facing issues with name extraction, please review the following key points:
-
Proper Capitalization and Genuine Names
-
Names should begin with a capital letter.
-
Ensure that the name used is genuine and based on real data.
-
Avoid placeholder names such as Test, Sample, Demo, or names with numbers like 6 Shelly, Shelly 22, Manoj 6. These are not considered valid names by the parser.
-
-
Check for Hidden Content
-
Inspect the resume file for any hidden text that may interfere with name extraction.
-
Refer to the
DetailResume
tag in the RChilli JSON output for detailed information. -
If another name appears at the beginning of the
DetailResume
content that isn't present in the actual resume, it may be due to hidden content.
-
-
Header and Footer Content
-
Names included in headers or footers may not be accurately extracted.
-
As above, check the
DetailResume
tag for any discrepancies.
-
-
Avoid Formatting Issues in Names
-
Do not include multiple spaces, tabs, special characters, or line breaks in the name.
-
Names split across lines or blocks may not be picked up.
-
-
Names must be written in a continuous, clean format.
-
Example:
If the resume contains:
MR Rohan Singh Thakur
The parser will extract:
FullName:Rohan Singh Thakur
TitleName:MR
FirstName:Rohan
MiddleName:Singh
LastName:Thakur
-
-
Ensure Text Format
-
The name must be in selectable text format.
-
If the resume is partially scanned or image-based, name extraction may fail.
-
To verify: copy the name from the resume and paste it into Notepad. If it’s not selectable, it’s likely an image.
-
-
Avoid Segregated Content Blocks
-
Names should not be placed inside isolated layout blocks (e.g., right-aligned text boxes), as this can prevent proper extraction.
-
