To ensure accurate and complete parsing by the RChilli Resume Parser, the resume must include at least one of the following core data blocks:
1. Personal Information
-
Should include candidate's name, email address, phone number, and optionally, address.
-
Name must begin with a capital letter. Names written in lowercase or using placeholder values such as “Test,” “Sample,” or “Demo” may be rejected.
-
Valid contact details are essential—e.g., phone numbers must be in the correct format (e.g., 10-digit for US resumes).
2. Education Details
-
Degree name is mandatory in the education section.
-
The degree should be written in a standard, recognizable format (e.g., “Bachelor of Science in Computer Science”).
-
Institution name and year (or date range) are helpful but not mandatory.
3. Experience Details
-
Job title, employer name, and job period (start and end date) should be clearly stated.
-
If the job period is missing, the parser may skip the experience block—even if employer and job title are present.
4. Skills Section
-
At least one of the blocks—Skills, Experience, or Education—must be present.
-
If none of these are found, the parser will return “No data found” or corrupted document status.
🛑 Important Parsing Behavior
-
RChilli uses deep learning and NLP to intelligently identify relevant sections, but structured, clearly labeled content yields the best results.
-
Common issues that prevent parsing include:
-
Placeholder data
-
Improper formatting (e.g., no section headers)
-
Missing critical fields like degree or job period
-
