Updating the LOVs (List of Values) in Oracle is an important step toward aligning your system with expected values. However, parsing inconsistencies may still occur due to one or more of the following reasons:
-
Parser Mapping Not Updated:
The parser may rely on a pre-configured mapping schema. If your new LOVs haven't been explicitly mapped to what the parser expects (e.g., standardized degree names or education levels), it won’t recognize them properly during parsing.
-
Deployment Gaps:
If the changes to LOVs have not been fully deployed to the live environment used by the parser, the old mappings might still be in use. Make sure the environment from which parsing is happening reflects your updated LOV configuration.
-
Field Mapping Conflicts:
Sometimes, there may be conflicts between Oracle field naming and parser field logic, especially if custom fields or aliases are involved. The parser needs to know how to translate your LOV values into its expected JSON output format.
-
Cache or Sync Delays:
Depending on your environment setup, there could be delays due to cache not being refreshed or background sync jobs not running, preventing your updated LOVs from being recognized instantly.
✅ Suggested Next Steps:
-
Share your current LOV configuration and a few sample parsed outputs where inconsistencies appear.
- Include screenshots of your Oracle field setup, especially the fields used for education.
- Send these details to support@rchilli.com and mention that you want to validate the parser’s mapping for these values.
Once our support team reviews the setup, we’ll help ensure your parser consistently recognizes and processes your updated LOV values.
