What is the difference between Standard Taxonomy and Custom Taxonomy?

The difference lies in how the taxonomy is sourced and customized:

Standard Taxonomy

• RChilli’s default, ready-to-use library of standardized skills and job profiles.
• Provides broad industry coverage and can be used immediately without configuration.

Custom Taxonomy

• Your organization-specific extensions built within the same RChilli taxonomy framework.
• You can add, update, or modify skills and job profiles to match your internal terminology, workflows, or system requirements (e.g., Oracle environments).
   

When to use which?

• Choose Standard for fast onboarding and wide coverage out of the box.
• Choose Custom when you need to reflect proprietary terms, niche roles/skills, or internal structures.
