This message appears on the PeopleSoft file-attachment pop-up before the RChilli API is called. RChilli is only invoked after PeopleSoft accepts the file and triggers the ResumeExtract transaction/logs.
How to confirm it’s not RChilli
- Check Integration Log for a ResumeExtract entry
If no ResumeExtract log exists after the attempt, the call never reached RChilli (issue is within PeopleSoft’s upload/attachment layer).
- Run the built-in Integration Test (bypasses Candidate Gateway/attachment page)
Use Vendor Setup → Test → Run Test and verify Status = Succeeded in Integration Log, then open ResumeExtract. If this succeeds, RChilli is fine and the error is in PeopleSoft.
- Health checks (PeopleSoft admin):
- Integration Broker / Gateway: Ping the Gateway and ensure ACTIVE.
- Ping Node (RChilli connector): On Vendor Setup → Node → Connectors → Ping Node, the Message Text must show Success; also verify the Connector URL is correct.
- (HCM only) Search Framework/Elastic: Ping the Search Instance and ensure ACTIVE.
Why you’re seeing it
The error arises on the PeopleSoft attachment/page buffer step. At this point you’re still inside PeopleSoft (the pop-up says File Attachment)—RChilli hasn’t been called yet.
