For standard location matching, City, State, and Country are separate matching entities. Matching behavior depends on the location values successfully parsed from the source documents and the configured weightage for the corresponding entities.
Providing only Country does not inherently disable location matching. If a Country value is available and the Country entity has a configured weightage, it can participate in scoring independently of City.
For the dedicated GeoSearch feature, there is an important distinction. When GeoSearch uses textual location values, City is required, while State and Country are optional. Alternatively, GeoSearch can use latitude and longitude.
If a specific case shows that City + Country contributes to the score while Country only does not, share the request, response, JD, and resume samples with RChilli Support so that the parsing output and weightage configuration can be validated.
