Does RChilli provide an explanation of why a candidate received a specific match score?

Yes. RChilli Search & Match provides an Explain Score feature that can return score details in text or JSON format.

The JSON response provides the overall score and maxScore, along with a field-level ExplainScore list containing:

• Entity
• Value
• SourceValue
• Score
• maxScore

The response can include both positively scored matching fields and zero-score fields, allowing consumers to identify contributing and non-contributing or missing criteria.

RChilli also provides Explain Weightage, which shows the calculated weightage applied to entities during response generation.

A client or ATS user interface can use these API details to present information such as matched concepts, gaps, and score contributions, helping recruiters understand the factors behind a candidate's match score.
