Understanding Dynamic Weightage Customization

Dynamic Weightage refers to the ability to adjust the importance (weight) of various attributes used in scoring candidates or jobs during a search or match operation. This enables you to influence which criteria are prioritized when ranking matches.

There are two layers of scoring logic:

A. Default Logic (Baseline)

• Uses RChilli’s pre-defined standard weightage.

• No manual configuration needed.

• Ideal for first-time users or plug-and-play usage.

B. Configurable Logic (Dynamic Weightage)

• Allows custom weight settings via the frontend (e.g., in Oracle, Salesforce, or custom UI).

• You can assign more emphasis to attributes like:

  • Skills (e.g., 60%)

  • Education (e.g., 20%)

  • Location (e.g., 10%)

  • Domain or Experience (e.g., 10%)

• Changes on the frontend dynamically impact the API score output, though the underlying backend engine remains unchanged.

This ensures real-time tuning of match scores without altering the core Search & Match Engine.

How to Configure Dynamic Weightage

1. Via UI (RChilli MyAccount or Integrated System UI):

   • Go to the Search and Match configuration panel.

   • Locate the Weightage/Scoring Settings.

   • Adjust sliders or input fields for each parameter (Skills, Experience, Location, etc.).

   • Save the configuration.

2. Effect on API:

   • The adjusted weights directly influence the ranking returned by the Search & Match API.

   • No change in API endpoints or input payloads is required from your end.

3. Use Case Example:

   • A client prioritizing relevant job skills can set 70% weight on "Skills" and lower on "Education" and "Location".

   • The Search & Match API then returns candidates ranked based on skill relevance.

Maintenance and Refresh

• Taxonomy and scoring logic are refreshed monthly to keep up with evolving roles, skills, and market trends.
