RChilli Salesforce - What is the relation between the Primary object & the object under the related tab?

The Relationship between the primary object and related tab object is that of a Parent-Child.

The list to select an object for the related tab contains only the child objects of the Primary object.

Primary object means the object that we have selected (Contact in this example) from the Select an Object list as shown below:
